McLaren Vale
Cutting the canes off the vines late in the season allows the shiraz bunches to dry out on the vine, concentrationing their flavours. After picking the fruit, it is fermented in small batches, prior to ageing for over three years in old American oak brandy barrels.
The nose draws you in with ripe raisin fruits and cloves. The palate is silky smooth, plum pudding, hints of black licorice, finishing off with bitter chocolate and lingering white spice.
